The Powder River County Commissioners will hold a public hearing for the purpose of obtaining views from the residents of the County regarding the submittal of a Montana Coal Endowment Program (MCEP) application for the replacement of the Randall/Moorhead Road Bridge located approximately 3.5 miles south of Broadus, Montana on the Moorhead Road. The Public Hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m. local time on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Powder River County Commission Room, Courthouse Square, Broadus, Montana 59317. The County is considering submitting an application to the Montana Department of Commerce for a MCEP Grant and wants to obtain public comment on the proposal. The Commissioners will discuss the purpose of the MCEP Program, the key components and costs of the proposal. At the public hearing everyone will be given the opportunity to express his or her opinion regarding the County’s proposal. Comments may be given orally at the hearing or submitted in writing before 4:00 p.m. on May 17, 2024. Written comments should be sent to Powder River County, PO Box 200, Broadus, MT 59317. At the conclusion of the hearing the Commissioners will make decisions relative to the proposal.
