Notice of Annual School Election
Notice is hereby given by the undersigned of Powder River School District No. 79J, Powder River County, State of Montana that the Annual School Election will be held on Tuesday May 7th, 2024, by mail ballot. Ballots may be returned to the following locations, at the following times: Location Prior to Election Day: Clerk’s Office, PRCDHS, 500 N. Trautman, Broadus, MT. 59317 and Hours: 8 a.m. - Noon & 1 p.m. -5 p.m. Monday thru Friday Location on Election Day: Clerk’s Office, PRCDHS, 500 N. Trautman, Broadus, MT. 59317 and Hours: 8 a.m. -Noon and 1 p.m. -8:00 p.m. Electors will consider the following issues at the election: Two (2) Trustee(s) to be elected for a three (3) year term. A qualified registered elector who will be absent from the district during the election is being conducted may: a-vote in person in the election administrator’s office as soon as the ballots are available and until noon the day before the ballots are scheduled to be mailed; b-make a written request, signed by the applicant and addressed to the election administrator, that the ballot be mailed to an address other than the address that appears on the registration card. The district clerk/election administrator’s office is located at: Powder River County District High School, 500 N Trautman, Broadus, MT. 59317 If you miss this regular registration deadline (30 days prior to the election), you may still register for the election by showing up at the County election office by noon on the day before election day. The late registration certificate may be exchanged for a ballot at the school election administrator’s office until the close of polls on election day. The county election office is located at: Powder River Co Courthouse, Clerk & Recorder’s Office, 119 N Park Avenue Broadus, MT., 59317 A late registrant may obtain a ballot on election day at the following location: Powder River County District High School, 500 N Trautman, Broadus, MT. 59317 Dated this 5th day of April, 2024 District Clerk: Dixie L. Notice Of Close of Registration
Notice is hereby given that regular** voter registration for all School District Elections to be held on May 7, 2024, will close at 5:00 P.M. on April 8, 2024. **NOTE: If you miss this regular registration deadline, you may still register for the election by coming to the Powder River County Clerk and Recorder’s office in the courthouse to register and receive the proof of late registration and receive the ballot at Powder River County District High School to vote on May 7, 2024. All active voters of Powder River County, Montana, are entitled to vote at said election. Persons who wish to register and who are not presently registered may do so by requesting a form for registration by mail or by appearing before Powder River County Clerk and Recorder’s Office during late registration. Inactive electors may reactivate by appearing at the Powder River County Clerk and Recorder’s Office in the Powder River County Courthouse during regular registration and at the school clerk’s office during late registration by completing a new registration form.
