    The Broadus VFD will hold their 4th of July BBQ at the Fire Hall, starting at Noon on July 4th. The cost of the meal is $10 per plate.     By Kara Lee Lambert The local cancer fund was started by the Gardner family because of Pat Gardner. It helps local families when cancer hits. I was helped when I was diagnosed. It was tremendous help with travel and expenses. They also helped when our daughter was diagnosed.     Powder River Manor will be holding a summer carnival on June 27th, from 10:30 AM to Noon, on the front lawn at the Manor.     Josephine "Anne" Carrel McKinney, 83, of Broadus, MT, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024, after a long fight with Parkinson's disease. Born on February 24, 1941, in Miles City, MT, Anne was the daughter of the late Jack and Josephine Brown Carrel. She attended grade school in Birney, MT, graduated from high school in Sheridan, WY, in 1959, and was crowned the Sheridan-Wyo Rodeo Queen that summer.
