Jerry Coulter is pictured above with the certificate of appreciation presented to then PV2 Coulter, by his Army Company Executive Officer in 1973. The award was presented for Jerry's participation in the "fierce and unfriendly competition of softball", and went on to say that the individual presented with the award would therafter be honored at all lawful or unlawful gatherings of softball enthusiasts.
