The meeting adjourned at 9:00 AM with commissioners Rod Schaffer and Darold Zimmer present for the second meeting of the month to complete county business. Donna Giacometto was absent for the day. No public comment was heard regarding the day’s agenda.
The County Safety Meeting was conducted as per Montana Association of Counties recommendation to aid in alleviating liability issues that could have been addressed earlier. A copy of the full minutes is on file in the Clerk and Recorder’s office and are available to the public.
Marty Drane, Building and Grounds Supervisor, reported to the board that the cost of updating the frequency of the tv translators is $12,000.00 at this time.
Sheriff Allen Drane, Jr, met with the board to discuss the Sheriff’s budget and cuts or cost cutting measures.
Teel Mullanix, Road Supervisor, met with the board to discuss his equipment needs. They discussed what the Road Fund may afford or what they can get by with for the next year.
Pat Phillippi, County Treasurer, visited with the board about her budget.
Jaci Phillips, Clinic FNP and Vikki Klemm, clinic comptroller, discussed the Clinic budget.
Cherie Stachey, Nursing Home Administrator/Director of Nursing, went over all department budgets. There was discussion about who is in charge of the maintenance department at the nursing home. The board stated that all county facility maintenance falls under “maintenance”.
Marilyn Mischell, Action for Eastern Montana Director, met with the commission to present the various Aging Services Contracts for signature and to discuss the programs available in our county. She is willing to answer any questions anyone may have on the programs.
Having completed all current business and hearing no public comment, the board adjourned at 3:00 PM.
