On Tuesday February 12th, the 2019 Broadus MathCounts participants traveled to Glendive to compete in the Eastern Division of the MathCounts Competition Series.
Students solved math problems in three testing sessions. In the Sprint Round, students have 40 minutes to solve 30 problems. There is no use of calculators and the majority of the questions are word problems. In the Target Round students solve 2 questions in a 6 minute time limit. They complete a total of 10 questions. Calculators are allowed and all the questions are word problems. Finally, teams of four are given...
