PR First Responders awarded Rural Community Grant from Northwest Farm Credit Services

SPOKANE, Wash. – Northwest Farm Credit Services is proud to award the Powder River First Responders in Broadus a $2,000 Northwest FCS Rural Community Grant.

"Powder River First Responders thanks Northwest FCS for the grant," said Responders Facilitator Shane Copps, AEMT. "This funding will help us purchase a cardiac monitor that we can use to check heart rhythms and if needed, shock the heart to reset the rhythm. This tool has every potential to be an actual lifesaver."

Northwest FCS is committed to helping rural communities succeed. To date in 2019, Northwest FCS has committed over $91,000 to 75 projects in rural communities across Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Since the program's inception in 2007, it has awarded 1,067 grants totaling more than $1.85 million.
