Seventeen area residents convened in Broadus recently to learn colored pencil techniques from Upton, Wyoming's Eileen Nistler. Eileen is a nationally and internationally acclaimed colored pencil artist who divides her time ranching, creating art and teaching art workshops. The students ranged from 6th grade to 90+ and had various levels of experience working with colored pencils. The class was challenging even for some of the more experienced artists, but all agreed it was a wonderful time of learning, fun and fellowship. The workshop was sponsored by the local artisan society, Art & Soul.
