Elementary Concert Held

 


The Elementary Spring Concert was held on May 14th. The western themed affair was kicked off with the 5th grade band playing March Uno by Gerald Day and Sawmill Creek by Bruce Pearson.

The 5th grade merged with the 6th grade band to perform Young American March by John Kinyon.

The 6th grade band then performed Hoedown by John Ployhar and Liza Jane by A. Ostling.

Adorable renditions of Oats, Peas, Beans and Barley Grow and Old MacDonald were sang by the Kindergarten class.

Next, 1st and 2nd grades got their chance on the big stage to sing I Got Spurs That Jingle Jangle Jingle by L. Lilley and the Cowboy Song of I Ride an Old Paint/Good-Bye Old Paint.

Back in the Saddle Again by Gene Autry and Grandma’s Feather Bed by John Denver were sang by the 3rd grade.

Sweet Betsy from Pike and Don’t Fence Me in by Cole Porter were performed by the 4th grade.

The 6th Grade sang Most People are Good by Luke Bryan, Fishin’ In the Dark by Waldman/Photoglo, and Take Me Home Country Roads by John Denver.

My Homes in Montana/ Home on the Range and Thank God I’m a Country Boy by John Denver were a couple of old-time favorites sung by the 5th grade class.

The 6th grade got the crowd clapping with their presentation or Cotton Eye Joe by Rednex.

All of the elementary classes combined to conclude the fun evening with the singing of Happy Trails by Dale Evans.
