"4K For the Cure" Bicyclists to pass through town

Edit: The group has changed their route, and will not pass through Broadus.

This Sunday, July 14th, twenty-nine bicyclists are scheduled to arrive in Broadus to stay overnight at the Lutheran Church. They are the Seattle-bound group of the 2019 “4 K for Cancer” program of the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.

This will be our 4th year to host these dedicated and admirable young adults. This group left Baltimore in June for this cross-country bicycle tour which ends in Seattle in early August. After traveling through North Dakota, they make a loop down through Broadus on their way to Glacier National Park and points west. Just as you did last week for the relay runners (Team Boston), watch for the cyclists’ arrival and departure. Cheer them on. Pray for them. We continue to be one of their favorite stops.

2019 marks the 18th year of cycling across America in the fight against cancer and the 9th year of the Baltimore to Seattle ride. Along the way they make several stops to visit cancer patients in cancer treatment centers. With their upcoming “rest” day in Billings they will be visiting patients there.
