TRECO 70th Annual Meeting July 20th in Ashland

The date is set for Saturday, July 20, 2019, at St. Labre. Registration begins at NOON with the meal being served at 1 p.m., and the meeting to start at approximately 2 p.m. We will have prize drawings, and you must be present to win.

This meeting is your opportunity, our owner/members, to voice your opinions, to gain information on the financial condition of the co-op and the activities of the co-op over the past year, vote on any proposed bylaw changes and to elect directors who will guide the co-op into the future. Please watch for your annual meeting mailing to come in the mail to read about the bylaw amendments this year, and place your vote on our unopposed races for District 3, District 5 and District 9.

DeeDee Isaacs - District 5

My name is DeeDee Isaacs; some of you know me from Fred’s Hardware and Repair here in Ashland. My husband Fred and I have lived in Ashland now for 40-plus years between 1979 and the present. We spent three years in Arizona, but found Ashland, Montana, more to our liking.

Our family consists of three daughters and nine wonderful grandkids. In my free time I love to quilt, and create one-of-a-kind quilts for family and friends.

I continue to look forward to the challenge of representing all of you as a Tongue River Electric Cooperative board member.

Jim D. Collins - District 9

I am a native eastern Montana resident and have grown up and live in the Biddle community, and have grown to appreciate the luxury of rural electric power. I attended school in Broadus, and my post high school years in Bozeman at Montana State University (MSU). I graduated from MSU in 1990, and continued working on campus as the director of family housing before returning to the family ranch in 1995. I now reside west of Biddle on Butte Creek Road, with my wife Jacy and daughter Emma, and ranch for a living.

My experience on the TRECO Board the past years has been both challenging and rewarding as the electric industry has gone through some very challenging times. My experience on a number of boards in the community has challenged me in a number of ways, and has allowed me to learn a great deal. I enjoy being a positive influence on the electric board, and will work hard to represent the views of the members within my district.

I strive to keep up with the industry and will work to continue to give direction on the board to ensure safe, reliable and inexpensive power to our members. I continue to keep the lines of communication open regarding your electrical questions and concerns. Thank you in advance for your vote of confidence.
