A competitor in the ranch rodeo holds an unruly bovine during the wild cow milking contest.

On Friday evening of Fair Week, the East Fork Rodeo Club held their Ranch Rodeo, at the fairground arena in Broadus. This year, 10 teams competed in the events, along with 7 ranch bronc riders. The events this year were team sorting, team branding, trailer loading, team doctoring and wild cow milking. The winning ranch bronc rider received a pair of handmade spurs (made by Grant Gatlin), a jacket (courtesy of Broadus Boot and Tack), as well as a $500 added purse sponsored by Mills Auction & Real Estate. 1st place in the bronc riding went to Zach Seymour, 2nd was Allen Slabaugh and 3rd was Riley West.

In the ranch rodeo, 1st place went to the Powder River Crew; team members were Garrett Goggin, Josie Goggin, Cal Davison, Cory Seamann and Michael Bales, with a total time of 365 seconds.

The Prewitt & Co. Team administers a chalk "brand" during the East Fork Ranch Rodeo. The team placed second overall at the rodeo.

2nd went to Prewitt & Co. Team members were Jason & Shauna Schaffer, Josh Graff, Zane Williams and Zane Thompson. Their total time was 376.74. 3rd went to C&T Rodeo. Team members were Mac Tooke, Josh Rokke, Megan Lang, Tim & Cole Stevenson their time was 386.57 on 5.

Top Hand (man) was Kenyon Bearup, (woman) was Laramie Seymour.

Top Horse (man) was Keith Marquirt, (woman) was Star Whitt. Sponsors were 1st place, Gardner Ranch Services (buckles), 2nd place, Barbero Auto& Ag (coats), and 3rd was Big Sky Bar (vests). Top Horse sponsor was Broadus Boot &Tack (saddle blankets), Top Hand was Copps Hardware (money clip & necklace & earring set).

We had a great set of competitors, and a great turnout for the event, with stands filled with spectators. Thank you to everyone who watched or competed!
