What began as a program to meet the needs of youth in our community more than twenty years ago as part of the Governor's Summit on Youth has continued to positively affect the lives of youth in Powder River County. After attending the statewide Summit on Youth in 1998, an organization, Youth in Action (YIA) was established under the umbrella of MSU Powder River Extension's youth development program.
