Residents File for Elected Positions

The filing deadline for major party candidates in the open county elected positions was Monday.
Filing for Commissioner District 1 are Rod Schaffer and Ted Amsden. Both have filed as republicans.
Filing for Clerk of District Court are Vanna Byrd and Tricia Robinson. Both have filed as republicans.
Independent candidates have until May 2 to file their signed petitions.
The Primary election will take place June 2, with the General election taking place November 3.
