The Broadus 5th Grade, led by teacher Jennifer Zellers, conducted their "Unwax Museum", last Friday at the High School Auditorium. Each student spent weeks researching the history of a famous person, then during the Museum "became" that person, in both character, mannerisms, and costume. Visitors to the museum deposited a quarter into a jar in front of each student/character, and were then treated to an interesting anecdote from the character's life. The Unwax Museum serves as a way for students to learn about research and history, while offering a fun outlet in the process. Donations from the museum will be used to purchase biographies for the elementary library. Here are the students' descriptions of their parts:
