Weather for March was Mild, April Starts Out Cold

An early April storm blanketed the area with a shot of snow, followed by record low temps on the night of April 2nd. Broadus officially hit -1 on April 3rd, a record for the date. Thermometers in other parts of the area bottomed out even lower. Thick coats of winter hair helped to keep Shy McCutchan's cattle warm during the storm, in the picture above.
