4-H Family Feature - Aye
June 18, 2020
4-H Family Feature - Justin Aye (Far left) is pictured with his 4-H market hogs Wilbur (nibbling his leg) and Cheeto. Justin said, “I like my pig project because they are really easy and fun. I really like my pigs this year, most of them are a different breed than we have been getting and they are a friendlier breed.” Justin also likes taking a steer because “mine is really nice even though it weighs 10 times my weight.” He is practicing social distancing by not going very many places.
Becca Aye (Middle left) is using the table saw to cut angles on a board. She likes the woodworking project because, “there are a lot of things that you can build and you can get creative with your projects.” She said the hardest thing is “deciding what you want to build or how you want to build it.” During COVID-19, she has been able to spend more time with her family.
“I like taking lambs because each one has its own personality,” said Lea Aye (near left). “The most challenging parts have been transitioning my lamb `Samuel’ from milk to show feed and getting him to lead with my hand,” she added. During Covid-19 Lea has been taking online college classes, branding and ranching. 4-H Family Feature comes to us courtesy of PR Extension Service.
