Bring friends and walk or run the 4th of July Freedom Run. The 5-mile run/walk begins at 7:00 a.m., and the 1-mile run/walk begins at 8:00 a.m. Both races start on the west side of Cottonwood Park in Broadus.

Registration for the 5-mile run/walk is $30 in advance but increases to $35 the day of the run. Prizes will be given for the first-place finishers for both the male and female divisions. The 1-mile run/walk is free for all walkers and runners; however, there is a fee if participants want a t-shirt.

Registration forms are available at the Broadus IGA, Post Office, the Powder River County Extension Office or online at http://www.powderrivertrails.com.

To have a t-shirt by race day, register at the Extension Office by Thursday, June 25th. Proceeds from the run help build a trail system in Broadus. The run is organized and sponsored by the Powder River Trails, the School Community Development Council and MSU Extension Service-Powder River County.
