Where the deer and the antelope lay -- A rather large contingent of the local big game population is pictured, leisurely enjoying an irrigated alfalfa meadow.
Betty Aye sent us her "recipe" for a grasshopper repellent; a great thing to try out with the hordes of hoppers around the area. Not for human consumption.
Grasshopper Brew
2 C. vinegar
6 or 8 cloves of garlic
1 pkg cheap chewing tobacco
1 C. water
Simmer for about 15 minutes (not near mealtime). Pour into small flat container, place every 3 feet or so - must be kept wet.
