The Broadus High School Rodeo Club held their annual High School/Jr. High/YRA rodeo on September 11-13, 2020. Members of the club are: Seniors - Tel Harmon, Garrett Cunningham, Kortny Cathey, Ashley Bilbrey and Harley Meged; Junior member is Chalee Harms; and Freshman member Holden Meged.

The weekend started out with the Cutting and Reined Cowhorse being held at the Harms Ranch. Both rounds for each event were held Friday evening, September 11th. The Cutting is split Boys and Girls, but the Cowhorse combines them. The Cutting and Reined Cowhorse judge was Justin Lawrence from Alzada. Placing for the members were as follows:

Cowhorse #1: 2nd Chalee Harms, 136; 6th Harley Meged, 130

Cowhorse #2: 4th Harley Meged, 134.50; 7th Chalee Harms, 111

Girls Cutting #1: 1st Chalee Harms, 72.50; 5th Harley Meged, 65

Girls Cutting #2: 1st Chalee Harms, 72; 3rd Harley Meged, 65

On Saturday, September 12th the rodeo action started at 9:00 a.m. with over 120 Contestants between the 3 groups (High School/ Jr. High and YRA). Placing for the local competitors was as follows:

Barrel Racing: 6th Ashley Bilbrey, 19.20; 11th Chalee Harms, 20.900; 14th Harley Meged, 22.98.

Breakaway: 1st Chalee Harms, 2.870

Goat Tying: 2nd Chalee Harms, 8.720; 4th Harley Meged, 9.060

Pole Bending: 1st Harley Meged, 21.430; 3rd Chalee Harms, 22.05

Saddle Bronc: 2nd Garrett Cunningham, 49 points

Team Roping: 8th Chalee Harms/Colton Turbiville, 29.670

Sunday, September 13th Results:

Barrel Racing: 3rd Harley Meged, 18.34; 10th Ashley Bilbrey, 19.31; 13th Chalee Harms, 19.750.

Breakaway: 1st Harley Meged, 3.24; 3rd Chalee Harms, 3.84

Goat Tying: 1st Chalee Harms, 7.86; 10th Harley Meged 20.05

Pole Bending: 1st Harley Meged, 20.94; 9th Chalee Harms, 27.76

Team Roping: 1st Harley Meged/Roan Burrows, 14.25; 4th Holden Meged/Trey Fleming, 24.030; 5th Tele Harmon/ Bryce Grebe, 25.26.
