Happy fall… or maybe it’s winter already?

Thank you to everyone that participated in the Homecoming/Halloween bale decorating contest! What a fun community pride project it turned out to be! We appreciate the Extension Office for partnering with us, Green Acre Ranch for donating straw bales, Waylon Billing, Dave Barbero & Kurt Collins for bale distribution, and Gardner & Billing CPAs for donating prizes. The winning entry was the Powder River Historical Museum’s “Night at the Museum - Straw-nasaurus Rex & Wool-hay Mammoth”, 2nd place Big Sky Bar’s “Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie” painted by Chrystal Mitchell and 3rd place Western Chick’s “Hocus Pocus – The Sanderson Sisters.”

With cold and flu season upon us and COVID cases continuing to creep into the community, please protect yourself and others with proper hygiene practices. Public Health continues to stress the importance of the three biggest safety precautions: Wash your hands frequently, practice social distancing and wear a mask to protect others. Our local health administration has also asked us to help remind the community that Powder River County is still under the governor’s mask mandate. Broadus - please be kind, be safe and be well!

Are you or your business already practicing COVID safety measures? Then you may be interested in a new incentive plan through our partnership with Visit Southeast Montana. Funded through the CARES act, the Out Here We CARE program is rewarding employees and businesses that are exemplifying COVID safety. We’re offering local gift cards to those that are pledging to help keep our community safe and our businesses open. Contact us at [email protected] or visit our website http://www.PRChamberofComm.com for information on how you can benefit!

The Broadus Christmas Stroll is officially scheduled for Friday, December 4th. Confirmation of the stroll theme and activities will be released soon, so watch our Facebook page for more details!
