On Monday, the County Commissioners signed Resolution 2021-27, initiating Stage 1 fire restrictions across Powder River County, effective immediately.

Under Stage 1 restrictions, campfires are prohibited, as are fireworks and smoking outside of a closed vehicle, except within a minimum three foot cleared or barren area.

The fire restrictions will be in effect until further notice.
