August 12, 2021

Broadus Bumblebee Daycare Board Members Nicole Gardner, Sue Richards, Molly Lloyd, and Kylie Randall met Monday to take the keys for the daycare facility from building owner Renee Gnerer. Also pictured is MT State Licensing Agent Lenny Brown.

The Broadus Bumblebee Daycare, has opened up shop at the former site of Coyote Valley Saddle Shop, the Broadus Wellness Center, and the original Broadus hospital, now owned by Joe & Renee Gnerer.

The facility will be fully licensed with the state, with daycare services provided by Lead Teacher Hattie Arithson, and Teachers Sophia Davis and Molly Lloyd, as well as volunteers.

Daycare Director Nicole Gardner told us that the nonprofit organization will provide daycare services for up to 12 kids, from zero to six years of age. One of the openings will be a "flex" position, for those parents who may not need regularly scheduled care, for instance if a mom has an appointment in town and only needs daycare for a few hours.

Cost will be $35 per day, with $5 hourly rates per child, with hours from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Enrollment is now open for the daycare, with applications due by August 23rd. Each application will then be reviewed by the board and accepted pending availability.

The first date childcare will be open is expected to be September 13th. An open house will take place in early September.

Those interested in submitting applications may do so by contacting [email protected] or Facebook messaging Broadus Bumblebee Daycare.
