Bidding Process Closes For Moorhead Bridge

November 11, 2021

On Monday of this week, the Powder River County Commissioners opened bids from five companies for the Moorhead Bridge replacement.

The bids ranged from just under 1.9 million to 2.3 million.

All five bids will now go to the county’s engineering firm, which will go over the bids, and submit them to the Feds for a review, after which the winning bid will be awarded and construction will be able to commence.

In speaking with the commissioners, demo on the old bridge which was closed by the state in 2019 may commence this winter, with construction on the new bridge to take place in the spring and summer of 2022.
