Filing for State and County offices opens January 13, 2022. The county positions that are open are County Commissioner, District 2 (six year term), County Clerk and Recorder (four year term), Sheriff/Coroner (four year term), County Attorney (four year term), County Superintendent of Schools (four year term), Public Administrator (four year term), County Treasurer/Assessor (four year term) and Justice of the Peace (four year term). Also open are Precinct Committee persons for all parties (two year terms) and Conservation District Supervisors in Districts 1, 3 and 4 (four year terms).
