Wild About READING month finale

Monday, February 28 is the final day for our Love to Read month. In the afternoon students will enjoy the movie Zootopia, so they can bring their blankets and a pillow.

Snacks will be animal crackers and a drink. Thank you for encouraging your student to read extra at home. We hope the new habit will continue past Love to Read month!

A special thank you for the donation of funds from Wendy Twedt, Barb Mitchell with the Henry A. Malley Memorial Library, and Zoo Montana for their virtual visit.

Zoo Montana Virtual Visit

Zoo Montana’s education lead, Katie Elam, presented a live virtual program to Broadus Elementary last Monday. The program was 30 minutes long and was a free program offered by the zoo. Katie showed the students a leopard gecko, an armadillo and a screech owl. Students were able to get a close look at each animal and learn about the adaptations for each one. The presentation was interactive so students were able to ask Katie questions about the animals. Teachers were very excited about the presentation and how engaged the students were. Thank you so much Katie and Zoo Montana for such a wonderful experience! It made Wild About Reading month even better!
