Brown Wins Match Bronc Ride At Bucking Horse

Houston Brown, 2017 Broadus Grad, won the Match Bronc Ride on May 22nd at the world famous Bucking Horse Sale in Miles City.

Brown, age 23, won $9,375 in the event, which featured 40 of the top saddle bronc riders from around the world, including 22 of the 25 top ranked riders.

Houston made an 85.5 point ride on Burch Rodeo Company's Bubble Bath to advance from round 1, then secured his win with a 91.5 point ride on J Bar J's In The Lu.

The 91.5 point ride is the highest point ride of the young rider's PRCA career.

Brown currently sits in 34th place in overall world saddle bronc standings, with $20,635 in 2022 winnings.

Houston is the son of Joe and  Stacey Brown of Powderville.
