The East Fork Roping Club Ranch Rodeo is back for another fun year, next Friday, August 12th at 6 PM at the roping arena in Broadus.

This year not only do we have the ranch bronc riding back with the ranch rodeo, but are sponsoring a new event at noon, a stray gathering event. We have several local contestants entered in all the events. Come on out to cheer them on.

A $5 gate fee will get you in to watch all the events. Calcuttas will be held before each event, and a portion of proceeds are going to a scholarship for a Broadus graduate.

The Stray Gathering Event consists of two, two man teams that go head to head in the arena at the same time. They must head and heel a steer and tie three legs. It's tournament style so winners advance and losers go backwards, and will feature a double elimination format.

The rodeo should be a lot of fun to watch and participate in.
