The Bighorn Mountains seem to float in the distance like a cloud layer, in the photo above. In stark contrast to the dry lands of Powder River County in the foreground, the upper reaches of the Bighorns stand cloaked in snow. As of Monday, the snow depth at Cloud Peak Reservoir was 14". The reservoir is situated at 9860 feet, with nearby Cloud Peak (located approximately in the middle of the photo) climbing to 13,166', higher than any mountain in Montana. (Examiner photo)
