Powder River Examiner -

4-H members recognized for outstanding beef carcasses at the County Fair included Jayce Schroeder, Oliveah Schaffer, Kori Kolka and Karena Appleman. They each received Steer of Merit Certificates sponsored by the Montana Stockgrowers Association. Winners of the Beef Carcass Contest awards included third place, Mariah Higgins (not pictured); second place – Kori Kolka; and first place – Karena Appleman. These three members split a cash award sponsored by Lester and Dawn Aye and John and Kristi Elgin. In addition, Karena received a belt buckle sponsored by Craig & Christine Appleman.
