April 4, 2019
Although the temperatures have improved, it seems each season brings its own set of challenges as we change from battling drifting snow to mud and flooding waters. Our thoughts go out to the community ranchers who tenaciously endure these extreme Montana seasons!
March Madness is quickly coming to a close and a small crowd of basketball fans made their way to Powder River Lanes last Wednesday night for the NCAA Sweet Sixteen Calcutta. The Chamber would like to thank all the bidders for participating and we wish you luck with your selections! We are especially grateful to former board member Pete Wenzel for continuing to help organize these events and to Charlee Kuhbacher for volunteering as auctioneer.
If the longer days are making you think about spring cleaning, we encourage you to think bigger! Community Clean Up Day will take place on Monday, April 29th in conjunction with the school. In anticipation of the Powder River County Centennial Celebration, we invite individuals, groups and organizations within the community to join us in our Broadus beautification effort. We’re always in need of adult volunteers to help supervise students, so if you would like to participate, please contact Melissa Billing ([email protected]) for more details.
A Community Clean Up Day project submission is one of the many membership benefits the Chamber offers this year and we wanted to be sure to remind you that it’s not too late to join for 2019! If you’ve been putting it off, now is the perfect time to submit your application. We can help promote your business with advertising and marketing and provide access to tools and education that could improve your profits. If you have any questions related to membership, we encourage you to contact Jessica Malone, or any other current board member.
