Swimming Pool to open Sunday

The county swimming pool is set to open this Sunday, June 6th, according to Pool Manager Libby Nisley.

This year, the pool will open from 7 AM to 10 AM for adult swim and water aerobics, followed by regular swimming sessions from 11 AM until 8 PM, interspersed with half hour breaks at 2 PM and 5:30 PM.

Lifeguards this summer include Donovan Sturtz, Ashley Bilbrey, Rachel Rasmussen, Lyza McMullan, Josh Rashmussen, Eli Heacock, Ciara McDowell, Zeason Schaffer, and Manager Libby Nisley, who brings three years of lifeguarding experience to the position.

Cost to swim will be $3 per individual session, with individual season passes available for $100, or family passes for $125.

Swimming lessons will take place on Mondays and Tuesdays in the evenings, beginning June 14th and running through July 13th. Lesson for Levels One, Two, and Three will be held Mondays, with Levels Four and Five on Tuesdays. Level One will be from 6-6:30, Level Two 6:30 to 7, and Level Three 7-8. Level Four will be 6-7, and Level Five 7-8. During the weeks in which lessons take place, the regular evening swim sessions will not be held.
