It’s back to school time in Broadus and we’re wishing all the students, teachers, coaches and faculty a wonderful 2021-2022 school year!

Our August General Meeting brought big changes to our Chamber Executive Board. Following resignations of Lori Stokes and Julie Collins, we want to thank them for the time and energy they committed during their terms. We’re pleased to announce that current board member Megan Smith has agreed to accept the vacant VP position and that Morgan Weller has been newly appointed to the Executive Board. Welcome Morgan, and thank you all for your service to our community!

Our website management seminar is coming up on Tuesday, August 31st. In conjunction with the Miles City SBDC, we’re hosting a FREE business learning opportunity from 8am-12pm at the Community Center. This in-person workshop is presented by Miranda Gilbert of Girl Geek Communications in Billings. Miranda will be discussing the GoDaddy website builder, which allows small business owners to build and manage their own website in a user-friendly format.

This class will help you:

o Understand what material you'll need for your website

o Learn the website builder platform

o Connect social media to your site

o Learn how to submit your website for indexing on Google

o Learn some Professional-grade tricks for helping people find your site on the web!

Please register by August 30th by emailing [email protected].

The Building a Better Broadus Committee is excited to once again partner in bringing the “Reimagining Rural” program to Broadus! Communities across Montana will participate in virtual gatherings with national experts that provide innovative yet practical ideas for improving rural communities. Help us as we rewrite Montana’s rural narrative and share some positive ideas to re-energize and re-focus on a bright future for Broadus! Talks are scheduled for 6-8 p.m. on September 13, September 27, and October 4 in the Election Room.
