Monday, November 8, 2021

Chairman Lee Randall called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Office, Powder River County Courthouse. Commissioners Donna Giacometto and John Olson were present.

8:45 a.m. - Teel Mullanix, Road Supervisor, stopped in to update the commission on personnel issues in the Road Department.

9:00 a.m. - Bids due for the Moorhead Bridge Replacement Project. Great West Engineering, Brandon Duffy was present. Razz Construction, $2,296, 825.00; COP Construction, $1,899,799.00; Missouri River Contractors LLC, $2,306,7 63.00; Sletten Construction Company, $2,272,520.00; Battle Ridge Builders LLC, $2,025, 470.00. Bids will go with Duffy to be reviewed and Great West will recommend to EDA for final approval.

Discussion continued with Brandon Duffy, Teel Mullanix, and commissioners on the Pilgrim Creek Bridge Project.

10:09 a.m. - Bruce Keil stopped in to visit with commissioners regarding road easements that need to be fenced.

10:00 a.m. - Cemetery Road Contract discussion.

11:00 - EMS discussion. Board did not discuss at this time.

12:00 to 1:00 - Commissioners adjourned for lunch.

1:00 p.m. - Lee Randall attended an interview.

1:00 p.m. - Extension Agents Julie Riley and Mary Rumph met with board for monthly update.

1:30 p.m. - Laura Lee and Vic Ullrich met with commissioners to discuss concession stand at the fair barn.

2:30 p.m. - Ron Hecker and Ryan Melin, US Forest Service, met with board for their monthly update.

3:00 p.m. - Teel Mullanix and Brandon Duffy stopped in to update the board on their meetings with landowners on the Pilgrim Creek Bridge and Little Powder River Bridge projects.

3:15 p.m. - Sean Hill, Medical Administrator, met with board for biweekly update. 30 residents were reported. He gave an update on the CMS vaccine mandate.

4:00 p.m. - Marty Drane gave a maintenance update. All county facilities have been winterized. Drane reported on various county maintenance projects and progress.

The board will reconvene Monday, November 15, 2021.

Chairman Lee Randall called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Office, Powder River County Courthouse. Commissioner Donna Giacometto was present. Commissioner John Olson was absent.

No public comment was received at this time.

9:00 a.m. - Resolution to Appoint Special County Prosecutor. The board unanimously voted to approve resolution.

9:45 a.m. - Road Supervisor Teel Mullanix met with board to discuss an employee HR issue. The Moorhead Bridge Project was briefly discussed as well.

10:00 a.m. - Commissioners adjourned the meeting to attend an HR training in Miles City for the day.

Commissioners will meet again on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
