To Overhaul Flour Mill and Produce Better Grade Flour

Directors of the Broadus Co-operative Milling Company met Wednesday night and authorized John Leno, local miller, to proceed with his suggestions for overhauling the machinery. These improvements will take the wheat over a shorter course to the grinders and with an added “steaming” process, an unexcelled white grade of flour that will overcome every objection. The miller will start on these alterations at once and will have them completed within a week or ten days. Grinding of the wheat will be resumed after completion of the improvements. Some 1,400 bushels of wheat on hand now will assure a long grinding season. New consumers of Broadus flour are at Epsie, Coalwood and Powderville.

Charles B. Lewis and A.B. Norris respectively are president and secretary of the milling company.

View Cattle Country from Seat in Airplane

Friends of Pemberton Bros. from Spearfish, S.D., landed their Piper Cub plane in the dooryard of the Pemberton ranch on Little Powder River Monday afternoon. They were Cecil Ice and Buzz Driskill who had flown to the Gay ranch to buy some calves. On their return they stopped and visited with Lawrence and Osborn Pemberton. The Pembertons are in the process of moving cattle on their ranch so Lawrence took a ride in the plane over their place and located all of their cattle which was a decided saving in time as their work was cut out for them on horseback.
