Monday, May 16, 2022

Chairman Lee Randall called meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioner’s office, Powder River County Courthouse. Commissioners Donna Giacometto and John Olson were present.

Floyd Huckins joined the meeting.

9:00 a.m. - Commissioners left the office to tour the drainage issue between the library and St.V’s building and returned to office at 9:40 a.m.

9:40 a.m. - Discussion was held on the Moorhead Road at Rough Creek to the Wilson turn-off and the need to prioritize blading as the road has seen a lot of damage due to recent moisture.

Floyd Huckins left the meeting.

10:00 a.m. - Clerk & Recorder Cynde Jo Gatlin met with the board. Gatlin presented cattle guard removal request; board will agenda for next meeting. Fire doors at the Manor were discussed and the procurement process. Bookkeeping for the nursing home was discussed.

12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. - Commissioners adjourned for lunch.

Ordinance 2022-01, Emergency Speed Limit Ordinance for Pine Creek Road, Donna Giacometto motioned to approve, John Olson seconded motion, all in favor, motion carried.

The board reviewed and approved mid-month claims.

3:00 p.m. - Floyd Huckins joined the meeting.

3:00 p.m. - Ron Hecker and Ryan Melin met with the board to discuss Forest Service.

4:00 p.m. - The board discussed previous request from the Rolling Hills Golf Course board for financial assistance for the well pump replacement. Dan McDowell joined the meeting. Donna Giacometto motioned to assist the golf board by paying half of the invoice with the understanding the county will receive a detailed invoice and paperwork on the pump, John Olson seconded motion, all in favor, motion carried.

5:00 p.m. - Commissioners adjourned the meeting and will reconvene on Thursday, May 19, 2022.

Thursday, May 19, 2022

Chairman Lee Randall called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioner’s office, Powder River County Courthouse. Commissioners Donna Giacometto and John Olson were present.

10:00 a.m. - Clerk and Recorder Cynde Gatlin presented the Senior Citizen Director resignation. The board approved the Clerk & Recorder to advertise.

A Town of Broadus employee stopped in to ask if he could bale plastic jugs as Cans for Kids would like to crush cans. The board approved. The Landfill Road was then discussed.

10:30 a.m. - The board reviewed revenue and expenditures for 2021-22 fiscal year. The board signed final review for Ranch Creek Project and MOU for Belle Creek Project (FLAP).

12:00 to 1:00 p.m. - Commissioners adjourned and will reconvene on Monday, May 23. 2022.
