"I took the foods project to learn to cook for myself in order to survive," explained a 4-H Foods exhibitor.

"I like making cornbread," explained another.

One Handwork exhibitor made an afghan for her uncle and another 4-Her in Interior Design built a bed out of barnwood for her sister.

There were many touching and heartfelt reasons 4-Hers created their entries for the county fair. One thing was certain, it took hard work, skills and talent to show a cat, train a dog or build, bake, sew, crochet, or embroider those entries.
