School Board Holds December Meeting

During the December meeting of the PRCDHS School Board Trustees, the board accepted the resignation of Jordan Smith as classroom aide.

A bid from Majestic Homes for $305,675 was accepted for a staff-housing duplex to be built across the street from the high school.

The board approved the ARP ESSER Plan and COVID Safe Return to School Plan, which is a bi-annually scheduled event the board looks over every six months.

The board made a decision to hold school on January 13th. This was originally a planned day off, but due to the current weather conditions necessitating school closures (school was cancelled Tuesday due to the incoming blizzard) a decision was made to hold school on that Friday.

Kristy Elgin was approved to serve the remainder of Lori Fortner’s term on the board, representing the Biddle School District. Fortner served on the board since 2011, and is leaving the board after her election as County Commissioner.

The board accepted the resignation of trustee Raquel Mader. Dan Krantz was appointed to serve the remainder of her term, with an election coming up in May of 2023. Mader served on the board since 2018. Superintendent Hansen asked that folks make an effort to thank Fortner and Mader for their dedicated service to the community over the tenure of their terms.
