During the afternoon of February 7, 2023, Liz Riter and Jessica Beagles of the Powder River Conservation District visited Mrs. Smith and her kindergarten class at the Broadus Elementary School.
After learning a bit about how conservation can keep our land and animals healthy for years to come, Liz and Jess asked what the kids knew about food.
They discussed the various food groups with the class, having them place numerous food items in the correct food groups.
The students then broke into two parties and, using their knowledge of the various food groups, built felt pizzas! Finally, Seabeck pizza and SunnyD were enjoyed as a reward for all their hard work!
