The annual Kindergarten Roundup for all perspective Broadus Kindergarten students entering the school system this fall will take place March 16th from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Broadus Community Center.
Parents will need to bring a copy of the student's birth certificate and immunization records.
Debbie Steig of the Tri-County Co-op described the process of Kindergarten Roundup: “The students are assessed in the areas of motor skills, concepts (academic readiness), and language. The motor skills are administered by a Physical Therapist (large motor skills) and Occupational Therapist (small motor skills). The concepts areas will be administered by teachers, with one teacher being next year's Kindergarten teacher. The concepts deal with colors, naming objects, numbers, shapes, and sorting. Language assessment is completed by a speech language pathologist.
Those with children looking to join the Kindergarten in Fall of 2023 are asked to set up an appointment time by calling Debbie Stieg at 406-975-6588.
Parents will be also be given enrollment packets to register students for school while their students are at the Roundup.
