Fire Consumes Local Home

The Broadus Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire on the afternoon of Sunday, March 19th.

The blaze, which consumed and eventually resulted in the total loss of a home and garage, was located at the Fruit Ranch, on Pilgrim Creek Road, northeast of Broadus.

Broadus VFD Fire Chief Raymond Ragsdale told us that the fire’s cause was unknown, and no injuries or loss of life came from the fire.

Six fire engines responded to the fire, and were manned by Raymond Ragsdale, Wes Hinman, Donna Wilson, Raymond Rolfson, Chase Talcott, Casey Slovek, Dauson Fruit, Clint Pedersen, Myles Gardner, Clint Hahn, JW Thrush, Kaydin Trent, and also assisting was Dan McDowell.
