Chamber News

By Jessica Malone

May is National Beef Month so we want to recognize the many ranchers and ag support industries at work in our community. Thank you for your contributions to the single largest segment of American agriculture! Special thanks to Open 8 Genetics, Gnerer Angus, Montana Premium Beef and Emmons Ranch for your support of our organization through Chamber memberships!

April 30 – May 6th 2023 is National Small Business Week (NSBW). For more than 50 years, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has celebrated NSBW by recognizing the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. So, of course, we also want to recognize the many small business owners that contribute to our community. Help celebrate our small businesses by shopping local! Support your friends and neighbors whose businesses support our economy, donate to our charities and provide necessary services in our community.

Our next General Membership Meeting is coming up on Wednesday, May 10th. Everyone is welcome to join us at 5:30pm at the office of Gardner & Billing CPAs for more information on upcoming Chamber activities. Discussion items include membership levels/ benefits and the budget and program of work for our new 23-24 fiscal year. We’ll also have special introductions about community resources and outreach programs available in our area.

Summer will be here before we know it and plans are in the works for our co-ed “Smalltown Showdown” Broadus Softball Tournament. Please note that although this event usually takes place over 4th of July weekend, the dates for 2023 have been changed to the weekend of June 17-18th. Find our Facebook event page or contact Brandon Schuetzle for more tournament information or sponsorship opportunities.

It’s not too late to donate to our annual 4th of July Fireworks Show! Please contact Kurt Copps or Jessica Malone if you are interested in sponsorship or donations to help us put on an amazing display this year!
