Early Monday morning, a rollover accident on Hwy 212 claimed the life of Josiah Middle Rider, age 19, of Broadus, and sent an Ekalaka man to the hospital in Rapid City. Montana Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred near mile marker 92, approximately 12 mile east of Broadus, with authorities dispatched to the scene at 4:42 AM.

Middle Rider, the driver, reportedly drifted off the right side of the road in a Ford F250 pickup, crossed back onto the road, and right again, rolling the vehicle.

MHP indicates speed may have played a factor. Neither driver nor passenger was wearing a seatbelt.
