Another Powder River County Fair is in the books, and it was another outstanding show of support for 4-H youth. The annual silent auction, a fundraiser created long ago by Tyler Gardner to support 4-Hers with non-livestock items recoup their project costs, raised almost $1,300 for 22 youth.
Buyers could find photographs of nature, landscape paintings, birthday cakes, cookies, cat scratchers, eggs and notecards; the items were as varied as the projects and youth who made them.
Thank you to the 4-H exhibitors and their exceptional items for sale and the buyers who supported the youth.
