What is a Herby Derby? It is a car race that is on a small track usually held in a fairground in which contestants ages 9 -14 can participate. A Herby Derby is usually held in conjunction with a Bump and Run or a Demolition Derby. Eli Jurica, an incoming freshman at PRCDHS, won 1st place in Glendive and Baker and Tyler Jurica, soon to be a 7th grader, won 2nd in Glendive and 3rd in Baker. Each driver has to have an adult riding with them. They each had to modify their cars, removing all glass, welding doors shut, adding roll bars, bumpers, and cool paint jobs. Eli has been racing for three summers; Tyler for 2.

Their next races will be at the Fallon County Fair in Baker August 20th and at the Custer County Fair in Miles City on August 19th.
