POWDER RIVER COUNTY – Powder River Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is all set to offer a Basic Life Support (BLS) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) class on August 19th. The venue for this significant training will be in the courthouse, specifically in the EMS Conference room.

Offering two separate sessions to cater to participants' convenience, the first class will commence at 8 am and conclude at 12 pm. A second session will run from 1 pm to 5 pm. Each of these classes will span four hours, ensuring participants receive thorough training.

The structure of the course is designed to cater to various learning styles. Participants will experience an informative video lecture which will lay the foundation of CPR techniques. Following the lecture, attendees will get the opportunity to practice hands-on skills, enabling them to apply the knowledge they've acquired. To ensure comprehension and retention, a written test will be conducted at the end of the session.

With the current course cost pegged at $50, the training aims to be both affordable and invaluable for attendees. Not only will they acquire potentially life-saving skills, but they will also gain confidence in their ability to act in emergency situations.
