A plane crash in the Southeastern Custer County area hospitalized two people earlier this month.

A preliminary FAA report indicated that around 6:30 PM on August 10th a Piper J3 Cub crashed under unknown circumstances, approximately 22 miles East/SE of Miles City.

Local ranchers, along with Custer County and Miles City emergency personnel responded to the crash, piloted by Shane Balsam. One individual was transported by help flight to Billings, the other transported to a local hospital. The FAA is further investigating the incident.
