GOODING To Play In Broadus On Monday

GOODING, a Nashville based band combining rock music with a multimedia presentation and talk, will perform at Broadus High on Monday, September 11th at 8:30 AM. The public is invited to the event; no fees are required to enjoy the show.

Frontman Gooding, who has familial ties in the Broadus area, says of the show: "Financial literacy for all! We would love to meet and chat with you all! "

GOODING is currently on a multi-state fall tour through Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Nebraska.

The band's shows feature "soul-stirring rock 'n' roll" with a project titled Funding the Future. According to the band's site, Funding the Future covers the importance of developing good saving habits early, types of debt available to students, wise use of debt, the dangers of too much debt and high interest debt/payday lenders, how credit scores work, and how to control spending through tracking, budgeting and goal setting. Gooding suggests students look to their communities for support and mentorship, while he exposes the myth of rock stars, athletes and actors who sell the false image of overnight success.
