Montana Mindfulness Project To Host Workshop In Broadus

By PR Extension Office

Mindfulness is living in the present moment. It means being more aware and awake to each moment and to be fully engaged in what is happening in one's surroundings – with acceptance and without judgment. The Montana Mindfulness Project creates programs to help youth improve attention to experience joy in their academic learning, to train in emotional regulation, and to expand and integrate successful learning in their daily life - sports, the arts, and relationships.

The Montana Mindfulness Project will present a workshop on Friday, September 15th, from 9 am till noon, at the Senior Center in Broadus. Parents, teachers and community members who work with youth or are interested in learning more about mindfulness are welcome to attend. Participants will experience various mindfulness techniques, learn skills for mindful living and discover how mindfulness education benefits youth and adults’ mental wellness.

Montana State University Extension is co-sponsoring the workshop. Registration deadline is Monday, September 11th. To register, contact MSU Extension Office – Powder River County at 406-436-2424.
