Senior Exercise Classes Resume in September

By PR Extension Office

“You have to move, if you don’t move, you become immovable,” explains 97-year old Elaine LaLanne, wife of Jack LaLanne, the “Godfather of Fitness”. Broadus residents can move on Monday and Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at the Senior Center beginning Monday, September 11th, in an organized exercise class, free for the community.

“I move better!” That’s what participants say about the class offered through Montana State University Extension Service – Powder River County. Arthritis Exercise classes are designed for all ages and abilities whether people have arthritis or simply want to move more. The program includes a health education topic and strength training, range of motion and balance exercises plus a brief relaxation exercise to help participants face the rest of their day and easily meet any demands that may arise.

Call the Senior Center at 406-436-2635 for more information.
